Galaxy Golf Open for the Season
Experience mini-golf that is "out-of-this-world!" Galaxy Golf, the science-themed miniature golf course, will be open during regular museum hours (weather permitting), Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm and Sunday, noon – 5 pm. Individual game: $3 per person. 10-game Galaxy Golf discount cards are available: $15 for Sciencenter members and $20 for non-members.
Showtime! Presentation: Throw, Drop, Crash

Explore how engineers can measure forces when things crash or fall. Join Cyril Moore, Dan Ward and Joe DiCiacce from Myownduino to learn about accelerometers. Showtime! presentations are included with admission.
Special Family Program: To Frack or Not to Frack?

So what is fracking anyway? Learn about gas drilling and participate in a fun, interactive and family-friendly theater program designed to create conversation around a controversial issue. The Civic Ensemble will illustrate through theater some kid-friendly viewpoints on both sides of the gas drilling debate, to help kids make their own informed decision. Plus, get a sneak peak of the Sciencenter's new exhibition, "Tapping the Marcellus" to debut later this summer. This program is part of a series made possible by a grant from the Tompkins County Tourism Program. Included with admission.

Check out hands-on activities that demonstrate everyday physics. Join student researchers from CLASSE (Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences and Education) and have fun with physics. Showtime! presentations are included with admission.

Weekly Wonders

Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm in July and August
School's out and fun is in! Cool, creative hands-on activities are in session at the Sciencenter every weekday afternoon at 2:30 pm during July and August. Kids can launch rockets, concoct slime, and participate in a citizen science project that explores the hidden world of our nearby Cascadilla creek. A new activity is introduced each week. Included with admission.
Moto-Inventions

Sundays in July, 1 - 2:30 pm
Invent contraptions that can move. Tinker with recycled materials and electricity to make whirling, moving machines. Included with admission.

Explore consumer products from the past, present and future. Join Sciencenter educator Kevin Dilley to weigh the risks versus the benefits of several products that use nanotechnology.
