Traveling with the exhibition is an education kit that includes a set of tuning forks, a set of shake tubes (match the sounds), and a digital sound level meter that can be used by museum educators for gallery programs. Also included is the Dangerous Decibels Educator Resource Guide, a K-8 curriculum supplement with directions for hands-on science activities about the anatomy and physiology of hearing, the physics of sound, and health-related behaviors for prevention of noise-induced hearing loss. This heavily evaluated resource was created by the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry and the Oregon Health & Science University: Oregon Hearing Research Center. It's a great resource for both formal and informal programs!
