Things to Do
The Sciencenter offers more than 200 interactive exhibits, an outdoor science playground, the Sagan Planet Walk (3/4 mile), a Discovery Space, live animals, and more!

To get to the Sciencenter, take Rt. 13 to Third Street. Go straight on Third Street, one full block and turn left onto Adams Street. Go two blocks, turn left on Alice Miller Way. Take another left onto Franklin Street. Pull up to the school group entrance on your right.
Hours
Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The Sciencenter is open on Mondays in July and August. We're also open national holidays that fall on a Monday (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m).
Come Early and Save
Visit the Sciencenter from September 1 through February 28 and receive $1 off the admission price per student.
Scheduling Your Visit
We limit the number of field trip visitors to make sure everyone can explore the exhibits at their own pace. Visits can be scheduled throughout the year. Please note that spring field trip reservations fill up quickly, and we are sometimes booked entirely by the end of March. Be Our Guest
Teachers (K-12) are always welcome free of charge. Simply tell the greeter at the front door that you are a teacher.
Teachers and Chaperones
The Sciencenter suggests a chaperone ratio of 1 adult to every 6 children. Field trip chaperones are admitted free of charge up to a ratio of 1 adult to every 4 children. Additional chaperones may accompany groups at the discounted group rate for adults.
Lunch
A lunchroom is available. Please be sure to reserve the room in advance, as space is limited. Teachers and chaperones are responsible for monitoring the lunchroom. You may also eat lunch outdoors in our Emerson Science Park (weather permitting).
Sciencenter Take-Out, the Museum Store
Sciencenter Take-Out, the Museum Store, has a wide selection of science and nature-related gifts. If your group would like to shop, please let us know when you make your reservation.
Rates and Fees
The Sciencenter looks forward to welcoming your school group and is pleased to offer discounted admission rates to schools for field trips of 10 or more students. For groups smaller than 10, regular admission rates apply.
The Sciencenter suggests a chaperone ratio of 1 adult to every 6 children. Field trip chaperones are admitted free of charge up to a ratio of 1:4. Additional chaperones may accompany groups at the discounted group rate for adults ($5.50 per person).

Please Note
Individual Sciencenter memberships are not transferable to school groups for the purpose of reducing field trip costs for schools. The free admission benefit to individual members may not be applied to offset field trip fees.
