Public Exposure

The exhibition began touring in Winter 2003 and will continue for up to five
additional years. The exhibition will be seen by an estimated 1.5 million visitors at science and technology museums throughout the United States.

Audience

The target audience for this traveling exhibition is 5 to 8 year-old children
(Kindergarten - Third Graders). Children in this age range have little exposure to these topics in school or home, they visit museums with their families and school groups, and they will become a future generation of scientists. An interdisciplinary approach to science must start at an early age to affect the way children approach inquiry and problem-solving. This will only be a first introduction to the nano world, but it will be provide a groundwork upon which visitors can build with future experiences.
