Thank You, Winter Recess Volunteers

The Sciencenter would like to thank the 35 hard-working, energetic volunteers who helped us welcome more than 4,400 vacation week visitors, including more than 280 teachers and their families to the museum.
Collectively, these volunteers logged more than 170 hours during the busy Winter Recess Teachers Fest.
Volunteers Engaged Visitors Throughout the Museum

The Sciencenter volunteers enthusiastically engaged museum visitors in fun, interactive activities twice daily during the week. These family-friendly activities included helping visitors transform themselves into a giant puzzle, making kaleidoscopes, playing a Native American stick game, and exploring volume.
Additionally, volunteers were instrumental in guiding visitors during the exploration of marine animals at the Connect to the Ocean touch tank. They also answered questions and assisted visitors throughout the exhibit galleries and during Sciencenter-hosted birthday parties, and provided key behind-the-scenes support.
