ScienceWorks Program Coordinator
Sciencenter, a hands-on science museum in Ithaca, NY, seeks a creative and enthusiastic individual with a strong science background and possessing a great entrepreneurial spirit to coordinate our new ScienceWorks program.
In this position, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating ScienceWorks, the Sciencenter's new educational program to engage talented, motivated teens in community-based science projects. You will recruit teen program participants and build and manage a pool of community-based volunteers from local science, research, and industry sectors to serve as project mentors.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a half-time (20 hours/week), fifteen-month term position, with probable term extension and possible increase to full-time. The position includes pro-rated Sciencenter benefits.
